The Blue Hill Fire Department will address what homeowners and property owners can do to prevent forest fires and to protect homes if fires threaten their neighborhood. Fires that have started accidentally on properties in Blue Hall in recent years have burned several acres and some out-buildings; some may have been avoided with different management of landscapes and closely wooded lots. The Blue Hill Fire Department will make a presentation and also tell about efforts to become more pro-active on the entire Peninsula.
